The project “Angst vor der Tagesordnung” (Fear of the Agenda) is dedicated to the ongoing right-wing violence in Germany and to people who show solidarity and work tirelessly on behalf of its victims. In the exhibition, artists Noa Gur and Susanne Keichel address the Islamophobic murder of Egyptian pharmacist Marwa El-Sherbini in 2009 at the Dresden Regional Court. They focus on the failure of the state and the shifting of responsibility and investigation, and look at the memorial services at the court.
In the format of a walk-through, two people will react to what is on display from an activist perspective and engage in an open-ended conversation with each other, opening up space for associations.
Seedy Saidykhan is a human rights activist, media maker, founder of the “WeMigrants” platform, and host of the video and podcast series “Seedyshow – Migration Perspective.” Since his arrival in Germany, he has been actively committed to the visibility, participation, and integration of migrants and refugees. In his show, he portrays people with a migration background – from new immigrants to successful entrepreneurs, politicians, and artists – and gives them space to share their stories and perspectives. Seedy lives in Oldenburg and works closely with local initiatives and organizations to strengthen positive narratives about migration and build social bridges.
Gilda Kardaß has been politically active in anti-racist contexts in Oldenburg for years and organizes, among other things, the annual Solifest, which was founded after the attack in Hanau in 2020. She studied education and gender studies, works in arthouse cinema, and organizes events with a focus on solidarity in the migration society.
